Well, getting started on flickr wasn't too difficult. It took a while to get my own pictures displaying rather than the slideshow of two asian women on a beach holiday (and I was tempted for a while to leave the mystery snaps on display), but at last I got the id codes right and here it is.
To many of my fellow food bloggers with fantastic animated sites this will be old hat. But some notes for the benefit of anyone who, like me, has not used flickr before. Hover at the top for control buttons and at the bottom for thumbnails. Hover on the main picture to hide controls and thumbs. Click on the main picture to read my captions. I haven't yet worked out how to display captions during the slideshow, but I'm sure I will find a way to do it soon. I hope you enjoy my first attempt at a slideshow. The photos, by the way, are all unretouched - exactly as dad and I shot them on Friday.

Looks like the hover is working in Firefox but not in IE. If anyone knows how to fix this I'd be grateful. Trig.
2007 and moved to Spain, where I trained in Barcelona at Carles Abellan's Comerç 24 (which won its first Michelin star) and Martín Beresategui's Lasarte (which won its second Michelin star) and was chef de partie and later Pastry Chef to Paco Morales at the amazing hotel restaurant Ferrero in the Valèncian mountains. This Spring I returned to London as part of the team of celebrated Portuguese chef Nuno Mendes, opening East End restaurant Viajante. I'm still working with food, but taking a break from fine dining. Passionately pursuing my life-long ambition to become a top-class chef and, one day, a world-famous restaurateur.

Danke schöne.

Trig,
I haven't looked in detail at your code, but have you tried the advice on this post:

Works for me on IE7.
Andrew - Many thanks for the suggestion. I've had a look at that page and it's the same code that I use. But I also have a function top and bottom of the display to show controls and thumbnails if you hover the cursor over these areas. If you try you'll find it works in Firefox but in IE7 you can't access the top or bottom areas.
lovely photo!!!!
and as i said before a great opportunity for us market lovers to visit markets which we might never visit.what did you buy that day?
bye
We bought all sorts of things, loads of veg and fruit and had great mulled wine while there, but the real treat was the ostrich burgers and steaks that we bought. I cooked the steaks for my mates who really enjoyed them and dad cooked the burgers. I'm looking forward to my next visit - hoping to go with Roshani from Living To Eat when we've both got a Saturday lunchtime free.
